RESEARCH AND DESIGN
Every Power Slot rotor starts off as a premium quality blank casting sourced from the best foundries in North America, Europe and Japan. We make sure our products meet and exceed the features of the O.E. (original equipment) rotor, paying special attention to:

• Casting grade and metallurgy per SAE J431.
• Brinnel hardness (BHN) and surface finish (RA.)
• Critical design elements such as the number of cooling vanes, vane direction, heat dams, and plate thickness.
 
PREMIUM SOURCING VERSUS ECONOMY SOURCING
Some competitors will sacrifice quality by using inexpensive off-shore castings made in China or other emerging countries-of-origin. While these economy rotors might be okay for light-duty city driving, they won’t hold up under the rigors of high performance, fleet or severe duty driving.
 
MILITARY SPEC PLATING
Power Slot applies a proprietary military-spec Cadmium plating on every single rotor we sell. This protects the rotor from harmful corrosion throughout its life. Other competitors use inferior Zinc plating on their rotors, or no plating at all! In salt spray testing, our Cadmium plating last up to 60% longer than Zinc.

POWER SLOT ROTORS -

Excessive heat can cause resins in your brake pad to vaporize or "outgas." As the brake pad wears, the used friction material turns into a fine dust. This boundary layer of heat, gas and dust builds up between the pad and rotor surfaces and inhibits performance. Here's where Power Slot's slotted brake rotors make a big difference.

Power Slot's exclusive Vac-U-Slots are machined into the rotor and help evacuate gasses and dust, shed heat, and keep the brake pad surface clean. And in wet, raining conditions, our Vac-U-Slot helps push water off the braking surface for better stopping power.

The Vac-U-Slot also serves as a visual wear indicator. The slot is machined to the rotor’s minimum thickness where it crosses the outside edge. If you cannot see the slot along the outside edge, the rotor has worn down to its discard depth.

Power Slot g for virtually all automotive, truck and SUV applications, even under hard driving and severe duty conditions. But for our most demanding customers such as police pursuit vehicles and club racers, we also suggest Power Slot Cryo rotors.

THE AFFORDABLE BIG BRAKE SYSTEM.

Introducing the Power Slot Plus Big Brake System. The Power Slot Plus system uses a larger diameter, premium quality Power Slot brake rotor combined with your original factory brake calipers. Our patented caliper relocation brackets space the factory caliper further away from the hub to accommodate our oversized brake rotor.

This increases brake torque force without affecting pedal effort or travel. The larger rotor is also a more effective heat sink, absorbing the heat generated under heavy braking. This greatly reduces brake fade and provides consistently shorter stopping distances, especially from higher speeds.

NOTE: All Power Slot Plus brake kits require the use of larger diameter wheels. Check the dimensions of your wheels carefully before purchasing.

PRO STOP -
THE SHOW WINNING LOOK

Designed for the performance enthusiast who wants the “look” of a cross drilled brake rotor without the inherent cracking problems, Power Slot’s Pro Stop rotors give you the best of both worlds. Pro Stop rotors are machined with our
highly effective Vac-U-Slot design and enhanced with a series of “dimples” that look like drilled holes. As the brake pad contacts the rotor, the dimples turn black, simulating the cross-drilled look.

All Pro Stop rotors are made to the same high quality specifications as the original Power Slot product line, Pro Stop slotted/dimpled rotors are perfect for show cars or for daily driven vehicles. However for high performance or severe duty applications, we recommend our traditional Power Slot slotted brake rotor for maximum effectiveness.

Deep cryogenic treatment is a one-time process that permanently improves the performance and service life of metals from brake rotors and engine parts, to machine tools and gear sets. Using a proprietary computer-controlled process, the metal is cooled gradually to -300°F and then slowly returned to room temperature and heat-cycled as the final step. Although not apparent to the naked eye, the improvements to the rotor are significant. The cryogenic treatment process redistributes residual stress in the rotor giving it an extra level of protection against warping.
 
Any new Power Slot slotted brake rotor can be cryogenically treated  prior to shipment. Allow 5-10 business days for processing. For more information, contact Phil's Inc.
