Power Slot Performance Rotors
Power Slot is Centric’s performance division focusing on entry
level brake upgrade solutions. Power Slot pioneered direct fit
performance rotors for trucks, SUVs and severe duty vehicles,
delivering superior and reliable braking even under hard
driving conditions. Power Slot provides cost effective
solutions by offering oversized brake rotor kits that work
with OE sized calipers and pads.
Excessive
heat can cause resins in your brake pad to vaporize or
“outgas.” As the brake pad wears, the used friction material
turns into a fine dust. This boundary layer of heat, gas and
dust builds up between the pad and rotor surfaces and inhibits
performance.
Here’s where Power Slot’s slotted brake rotors make a big
difference. Power Slot’s exclusive Vac-U-Slots are machined
into the rotor and help evacuate gasses and dust, shed heat,
and keep the brake pad surface clean. And in wet, raining
conditions, our Vac-U-Slot helps push water off the braking
surface for better stopping power. The Vac-U-Slot also serves
as a visual wear indicator. The slot is machined to the rotors
minimum thickness where it crosses the outside edge. If you
cannot see the slot along the outside edge, the rotor has worn
down to the discard depth.
Most Power Slot performance rotors feature our special Power
Alloy metallic compound.
• Superior resistance to cracking due to thermal stress
• Increased molybdenum content that extends
reliability, service life and helps reduce NVH “noise”
issues
• Rotor material is a direct descendant of the patented
AeroRotor from StopTech

Power Slot Cryo
When you need something tougher than a Power Slot rotor, but
you’re not quite ready for a big brake kit, try our new Power
Slot Cryo rotors. We’ve invested in the latest
state-of-the-art equipment to offer cryogenic treatment on our
Power Slot rotor line.
Deep cryogenic treatment is a one-time process that
permanently improves the performance and service life of
metals from brake rotors and engine parts, to machine tools
and gear sets. Using a proprietary computer-controlled
process, the metal is cooled gradually to -300°F and then
slowly returned to room temperature and heat-cycled as the
final step. Although not apparent to the naked eye, the
improvements to the rotor are significant. The cryogenic
treatment process redistributes residual stress in the rotor
giving it an extra level of protection against thermal
distortion and wear.
Any new Power Slot slotted brake rotor can be cryogenically
treated prior to shipment. Allow 5-10 business days for
processing.
